About Sarah

Welcome to my counselling practice. I specialize in supporting people through significant life transitions with compassion and expertise. My practice is dedicated to supporting those living with dementia and their families, as well as providing guidance during other pivotal life milestones such as transitions to marriage, parenthood, and retirement.

With a significant background in working with older adults and extensive experience in grief and loss, I bring a wealth of life experiences to my work. My approach is humanistic, aimed at fostering clarity, calmness, and emotional release in my clients. I am trained in both person-centred therapy and gestalt therapy, ensuring that I create a supportive and empathetic environment tailored to each individual's unique needs.

Alongside my private practice, I have worked as a counsellor with Dementia Australia, supporting people living with dementia as well as their carers and families. This work has given me the privilege of walking alongside people during periods of uncertainty, grief and significant life change.

Every family experiences dementia differently. Supporting people through diagnosis, changing relationships, caregiving responsibilities and anticipatory grief has reinforced my belief that compassionate, individualised counselling can make an enormous difference.

While dementia is a particular area of expertise, the skills I have developed extend to supporting clients experiencing grief, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, relationship changes and major life transitions.

At my practice, I believe in empowering clients to navigate life's changes with confidence and resilience. Whether you are embarking on a new chapter or seeking support during challenging times, I am committed to helping you achieve a sense of clarity and peace.
